Jimmy’s Studio welcomes persons of all ages and backgrounds who want to improve their ability to perform and enjoy classical or jazz music. While Jimmy’s three primary areas of performance are trumpet, piano, and voice, his Bachelor of Science in Music Education and eight years of full-time teaching experience qualify him to teach most all instruments and voice at the beginning and intermediate levels.

As Jimmy also possesses a Master of Music as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts (ABD), his teaching includes appropriate historical and theoretical information based on the age and maturity of the student, so that lessons are not just about notes and rhythms. Jimmy also includes improvisation as a means of developing the ears and the imagination.
